The Hornady Primer Pocket Cleaner Tool (Small) is the small-primer counterpart to the large version, designed for handloaders preparing small rifle and small pistol brass. After firing, primer pockets accumulate carbon fouling and small brass irregularities that can cause primers to seat inconsistently or sit proud of the case head — a condition that affects both ignition reliability and chamber safety. This tool scrubs those pockets clean in seconds, squaring up the pocket floor and removing debris so each primer drops in flush and at a repeatable depth. The head uses 8-32 threads, making it compatible with the included Hornady Universal Accessory Handle as well as the Case Prep Trio, Case Prep Center, and any other handle accepting 8-32 threaded heads. Note that this cleaner does not remove the staked crimp found on military-surplus brass — for crimped cases, use a Hornady Primer Pocket Reamer or Swage Tool. Hornady covers this tool with a lifetime warranty, and it is manufactured in the USA.
