The Hornady Primer Pocket Reamer Kit (Small) is the small-primer version of Hornady's popular crimp-removal tool, designed for handloaders processing military-surplus small-primer brass such as 5.56x45mm NATO and similar chamberings. Military cases are typically staked at the primer pocket to prevent primers backing out under automatic fire, and that crimp must be removed before commercial primers can seat and function correctly. This reamer cuts the crimp away cleanly, restoring the pocket to the correct diameter and depth for reliable primer seating. The kit includes the small reamer head and the Hornady Universal Accessory Handle; the 8-32 threaded shank also fits the Case Prep Trio, Case Prep Center, and any compatible handle.
