The Hornady .430 (44 Cal) Seater Die is a precision bullet seating die for handloaders working with 44-calibre handgun cartridges. Hornady's In-line Bullet Seating System is central to the die's design: a floating alignment sleeve holds the bullet, case neck and seating stem in perfect co-axial alignment before the bullet enters the case mouth. For the relatively large-diameter projectiles typical of 44-calibre loads, this consistent alignment before seating helps prevent the slight tilting that can occur in standard dies, delivering more uniform seating depth and supporting shot-to-shot consistency. The built-in roll crimper handles the crimp operation in the same stroke, which is particularly useful for cartridges designed to headspace on the case mouth and for loads intended for revolvers where the crimp keeps the bullet secure against recoil. No separate crimp die is required, saving a station on your press. The Sure-Loc lock ring clamps around the entire die body rather than the threads, keeping your adjustment settings firmly in place. A retainer ring at the die base allows the die to be stripped down for cleaning in seconds. Supplied with a standard bullet seating stem; 7/8"-14 thread fits all standard reloading presses.
