Shaped to match the ogive of the 30 calibre ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag eXpanding) bullet, the stem locates cleanly on the bullet's profile and drives it to a consistent seating depth without contacting or deforming the polymer tip insert. Maintaining uniform cartridge overall length from round to round reduces variation in chamber pressure and muzzle velocity — both of which contribute to tighter groups, particularly at longer ranges.
