The Hornady Zip Spindle Kit allows reloaders to upgrade older Hornady sizing dies to the current threaded spindle design, and doubles as a replacement parts kit for those who want spares on hand. The Zip Spindle uses a series of fine threads cut into both the spindle and its locking collar, giving you two modes of adjustment: small, precise incremental changes by rotating the spindle, or fast coarse movement — simply unscrew and 'zip' the spindle up or down — for larger adjustments between calibres or load changes. The included threaded spindle lock clamps the Zip Spindle securely once you reach the desired setting, preventing it from creeping out of position during use. A straightforward upgrade that adds versatility and repeatability to existing Hornady sizing dies without replacing the die body itself.
