The Lee .270 Winchester Seating Die is sold as a single die for reloaders who already have a sizing die and want to replace or add a dedicated seating stage to their press. It uses Lee's dead-length sleeve design, which positions the bullet against a fixed reference surface so every round is seated to the same overall cartridge length without relying on shell-holder depth or press feel. Because the die seats without crimping, it is well suited to spitzer and boat-tail bullets used in stalking and long-range deer work, where a clean cannelure crimp can distort the jacket and affect accuracy. The standard 7/8"-14 thread fits any single-stage, turret or progressive press with a standard die station. Compatible with the full range of .270 Winchester brass and appropriate for hunting, target and general sporting use.
