Sierra MatchKing .338 calibre (0.338in) 250 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets, supplied 50 to a box for reloaders working with magnum cartridges such as .338 Winchester Magnum and .338-378 Weatherby. These are projectiles only, not loaded ammunition. Sierra holds MatchKing bullets to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight, using very thin jackets and a small meplat to deliver a high ballistic coefficient of 0.587 (G1) and a sectional density of 0.313. The boat tail design reduces drag for flatter, more consistent long-range trajectories, and the bullets shoot well through barrels with a 1x12in twist rate. MatchKing bullets have built a worldwide reputation for accuracy, having won more target competitions than bullets from any other manufacturer, though Sierra does not recommend them for most hunting applications.
