The MTM Case-Gard GV30 Gun Vise is a free-standing cleaning and maintenance platform for rifles and shotguns, made from chemical- and solvent-resistant polypropylene in the USA. A single cam-activated lever clamps the firearm down quickly and securely, with all contact surfaces rubberised to protect the gun's finish. The gun forks are positioned at high and low levels, offering two working configurations: level for cleaning and gunsmithing tasks, or sloped to allow solvent and debris to drain away from the action. Four skid-resistant rubber feet keep the vise stable on a workbench, and it can also be bolted down permanently. On-board organisation is a strong suit – the base houses 11 compartments for patches, solvents and components, 21 moulded holders for cleaning jags, brushes and screwdriver bits, and two dedicated cleaning rod slots to keep rods clear of the work area. The GV30 holds shotgun barrels as well as standard rifle stocks and forends.
