The Swarovski dS Gen. II 5-25x52 P is a smart riflescope that brings the rangefinder, ballistics calculator and aiming solution together in one instrument. Place the fine illuminated 4A-I reticle on the target and press the button on the eyepiece: the built-in laser rangefinder measures the distance (30 m to 1,375 m), and the scope instantly shows a corrected aiming point on its high-resolution display, worked out from your stored ballistic profile together with the angle of fire, air pressure, temperature and the magnification you have dialled in. Your rifle and ammunition data is entered in the dS Configurator app (iOS and Android) and transferred to the scope over Bluetooth, and the Gen. II display can be configured to show wind bars plus readouts such as wind speed, bullet flight time and remaining energy. Underneath the electronics sits proper Swarovski glass: 5-25x magnification, a 52 mm objective and 83% light transmission. This L version has a round 40 mm centre tube for mounting with conventional rings. For deer managers and hill stalkers taking considered shots at varying ranges, nothing is quicker or cleaner.
