The Zeiss DTC-A 62 is the objective-lens adapter component required to mount the Zeiss DTC 3 thermal clip-on attachment to a riflescope with a 56 mm objective lens. The adapter system is split into two parts: this DTC-A adapter, which is sized to the objective diameter of the riflescope (62 mm thread), and the DTC-R M52 ring, which connects to the DTC 3 unit itself. Both parts must be purchased separately from the DTC 3 — neither is included in the thermal device's box. Together they form a secure, repeatable bayonet-style connection that allows the DTC 3 to be fitted and removed cleanly without disturbing zero. The DTC-A 62 is compatible with current Zeiss riflescopes fitted with a 56 mm objective lens. Users running non-Zeiss scopes should verify the outer diameter of their objective bell before ordering, and check whether fitting an adapter affects the manufacturer's warranty.
