The Napier Pro 10 Max 3 is a passive hearing protector built for full-bore rifle and range shooters, using the same finely tuned noise-cancelling sound chamber technology as the popular Pro 9. Napier states the Max 3 achieves triple-rated protection of 36 to 44dB peak, giving three times the noise reduction of the standard Pro 9 in the same lightweight shell. There are no batteries, wires or electronics involved: the sound chamber design does the work passively, so there is nothing to charge and nothing to fail in the field. At just 52 grams it is barely noticeable on the head, and the fully adjustable comfort headband has a ratchet mechanism so it can be preset for a perfect fit and returned to that setting every time. A soft foam liner keeps the defenders firmly in place when moving position or mounting the rifle, making this a practical, low-maintenance option for anyone shooting full-bore rifle or on an indoor range.
