The Tetra ProSmith 34-inch Universal Shotgun Rod is a professional-quality cleaning rod designed to work through the full length of a shotgun barrel without risk of damage. The rod itself is made from 5/16-inch diameter heat-treated stainless steel and coated with DuPont TufCoat — a tough, chemically resistant finish that protects the rod and prevents it scoring the bore. A spinning Delrin handle at the top allows the rod to rotate freely as it travels down the barrel, reducing torque and keeping patches and brushes tracking straight. The screw-on Delrin bushing and brass collar centre the rod in the muzzle to prevent contact with the bore walls. The 5/16-27 thread is compatible with all standard shotgun cleaning accessories, and a 5/16-27 brass adapter is included for use with black powder firearms. At 34 inches, the rod clears the full length of most shotgun barrels in a single pass.
