The Bisley SP1 is a fixed spirit level designed to fit 1" (25mm) scope mounts made by Sportsmatch. It bridges over the top of the mount and fixes to the lower mount cradle, giving an instant visual check that the rifle is level rather than canted. Canting, even a slight lean of the rifle off vertical, throws windage and elevation off at range, so a quick glance at the bubble before the shot helps keep the rifle true and supports consistent long-range accuracy. It is a compact, lightweight fitting at just 14g, adding negligible bulk to the setup, and once fitted it stays in place as a permanent reference rather than something to attach and remove each time. Popular with field target and hunter field target shooters, and equally useful for stalkers taking shots on uneven or sloping ground where it's easy to misjudge true vertical.
