This cartridge magazine is part of Croots' Malton range of traditionally made leather cartridge bags, gunslips and cases, hand-crafted in England from natural vegetable-tanned bridle leather in a dark havana finish. Each hide is hand-cured and stained to a smooth semi-aniline finish before an age-old blend of fats, oils and waxes is worked into the grain, deepening the colour and building in weather resistance while giving the leather its distinctive character. With a generous 300-cartridge capacity, it will comfortably swallow loose or boxed cartridges for a full day on the peg or in the field, and its wide top opening makes reloading quick between drives. A 2 inch wide cotton webbing shoulder sling spreads the load comfortably across the shoulder, while the stitched leather carry handle gives a practical second option when moving between the vehicle and the line. Measuring 14 x 6.5 x 9 inches, it is a substantial, purpose-built piece of kit that will earn its keep season after season and only improve in looks as the leather ages.
