The Bisley HETO42C is a two-piece extended, high dovetail scope mount built for 25mm (1in) scope tubes, fitting the 9.5-11.5mm dovetail rails found on most rimfire and airgun actions. The extended design moves the rings further forward than a standard mount, giving extra eye relief for scopes that need the objective lens set further back, while the high ring height clears large-bell scopes with an objective lens up to 56mm in diameter. Each ring is secured with four bolts and clamps to the rail via a two-bolt base, with a removable stop pin to key into the rail's recoil slot and stop the mount shifting under recoil. Solidly made and straightforward to fit, this is a sound choice for anyone mounting a scope with a large objective bell onto a rifle where standard-height rings would leave the lens fouling the barrel or forend. As with any scope mount, check your rail width and required eye relief before ordering to make sure this extended, high-profile option is the right fit.
