The Nosler AccuBond Long Range in .270 calibre (0.277" diameter) is a bonded-core, polymer-tipped component bullet developed for hunters wanting reliable expansion at extended range without giving up accuracy. At 150 grains it carries a sectional density of 0.279 and a ballistic coefficient of 0.625, thanks to a long, sleek boat-tail ogive that keeps the bullet flying flat and resists wind drift on long shots. The bonding process fuses the lead core to the jacket, so the bullet won't fragment if the shot ends up closer than planned — a weakness common to many other high-BC long-range bullets. The polymer tip triggers rapid, controlled expansion on impact, while the bonded core holds together for consistent penetration; Nosler recommend a minimum impact velocity of 1300 fps for reliable performance. Supplied in a box of 100 bullets for handloaders, this is a component projectile only — not loaded ammunition or brass — aimed at .270 stalkers and long-range hunters reloading their own rounds who want the same terminal performance whether the shot is close or well stretched out.
