The H&N Slug HP is a hollow-point, bullet-shaped lead slug designed for high-power PCP air rifles where accuracy at extended range matters. Unlike traditional diabolo pellets, the Slug HP's elongated profile and favourable ballistic coefficient deliver a flat trajectory and strong energy retention well beyond 50 metres — making it a serious option for pest control and small-game hunting at distances conventional pellets struggle to reach. This .25 calibre variant has a head diameter of .250" (6.36 mm) and weighs 28 grains. H&N coats each slug with a specialist lubricant to reduce barrel friction and protect the bore. A minimum muzzle energy of 25 joules is required, with 40–60 joules recommended for best performance; barrels with a shorter twist rate specifically designed for slugs will produce significantly tighter groups. Every slug in the tin is visually inspected, hand-packed and secured with foam padding to prevent damage in transit. Supplied in a standard H&N screw-on tin of 120.
