The H&N Slug HP is a bullet-shaped hollow-point lead slug engineered for high-power PCP air rifles, delivering accuracy at ranges well beyond 50 metres that conventional diabolo pellets cannot match. Offered in a .250" (6.36 mm) diameter to suit .25 calibre (6.35 mm) barrels, and weighing 30 grains, these slugs carry a favourable ballistic coefficient that produces a flat trajectory and strong energy retention downrange. A special low-friction lubricant coating reduces barrel wear and aids consistent release. For reliable performance the muzzle energy of your rifle should be at least 25 joules, though H&N recommend 40–60 joules for best results; barrels with a shorter twist rate designed specifically for slugs will deliver the tightest groups. Every slug is visually inspected and hand packed, with foam transport pads inside the standard H&N screw-top tin to protect the projectiles in transit. Supplied in a tin of 120 slugs.
