The H&N Slug HP II in .30 calibre (head size .301"/7.62mm) is a purpose-built hunting slug for high-power PCP air rifles, designed for serious long-range work out to 200 metres. Where a conventional diabolo pellet loses stability and energy at distance, a slug's higher ballistic coefficient — 0.115 for this 54-grain load — maintains velocity and trajectory far more effectively. H&N's hollow-point design uses a two-stage T-Slot cavity: the shallow upper angle initiates rapid deformation on impact, while the acute lower angle sustains it, driving maximum expansion and energy transfer into the target for a quick, humane kill. The soft lead construction ensures reliable mushrooming even from the rear of the velocity range. Developed and tested in collaboration with renowned airgun hunting expert Gerhard, the Slug HP II .30 is suited to medium and large quarry including duck, pheasant, roe deer and coyote. Each screw-top tin holds 80 slugs.
