The H&N Slug HP Heavy is a purpose-built airgun slug designed to extend the weight range in .22 calibre (5.51mm) for high-power PCP air rifles. At 38 grains with a head size of .217", these are lead slugs — not traditional diabolo pellets — shaped to stabilise via rifling twist at higher velocities. The defining feature is an oversized hollow-point meplat combined with soft lead construction, engineered to deliver maximum expansion and energy transfer on impact for a quick, humane kill in the field. Developed and tested in close collaboration with renowned airgun hunting and competitive shooting expert Air Hunter Gerhard, the Slug HP Heavy is built for hunters pushing their PCPs to longer ranges where heavier projectile weight maintains energy down-range. Each tin contains 120 slugs. Suited to high-power PCPs with appropriate barrel twist; always confirm your rifle's suitability for slug ammunition before use.
