The H&N Slug HP Heavy is a swaged lead hollow-point slug designed for long-range hunting and target shooting with high-power PCP air rifles. Offered in .218" head size to suit .22 calibre (5.53mm) slug barrels, the 40-grain weight places it at the heavier end of H&N's Slug HP range, giving it the downrange energy retention that serious airgun hunters need at extended distances. The defining feature is a large-meplat hollow point in soft lead, engineered to deliver maximum expansion and controlled energy transfer on impact — the combination that produces a quick, humane kill. The Heavy Slug was developed and field-tested in close collaboration with Air Hunter Gerhard, a highly regarded specialist in airgun hunting and competitive airgun shooting. Each precision-swaged projectile leaves the tin with consistent dimensions, helping repeatable groups from a well-tuned PCP. Supplied in a tin of 120.
