The H&N Slug HP Heavy in .250 calibre (6.35mm) extends the Heavy Slug range into the heavier end of the .25 weight spectrum, offering a 38-grain hollow-point slug designed for long-range hunting and target shooting with high-power PCP air rifles. Each slug is formed from soft lead with a large meplat and a two-stage hollow-point cavity that drives rapid, controlled expansion on impact — maximising energy transfer and delivering a quick, humane kill on quarry. The .250 head size and 2.47g weight suit slug-barrel rifles producing sufficient power (a minimum of around 25 Joules is recommended) to stabilise these projectiles at range. The Heavy Slug was developed and tested in close collaboration with Air Hunter Gerhard, a well-respected figure in airgun hunting and competitive shooting, ensuring real-world performance underpins every design choice. Supplied in a tin of 120 slugs.
