The H&N Slug HP Heavy expands the weight range in .25 calibre (6.35mm) and is built for long-range hunting and target shooting with high-power PCP air rifles. At 42 grains, these are among the heavier options in the H&N slug line-up, delivering greater retained energy downrange — a real advantage when the quarry demands a clean, humane kill at extended distances. The key feature is a hollow-point design with a large meplat combined with soft lead, producing maximum expansion and reliable energy transfer on impact. The Slug HP Heavy was developed and tested in close collaboration with Air Hunter Gerhard, a recognised expert in airgun hunting and competition shooting. Supplied in a tin of 100, the head diameter is .250 inches, making them compatible with barrel slugging setups designed for that sizing. These slugs are suited to regulated, high-power PCPs capable of stabilising heavier projectiles effectively.
