The Titan XS Mainspring No.2 is a replacement mainspring for spring-piston air rifles, supplied as part of the well-known Titan XS application range identified by fitment number. The No.2 covers the Weihrauch HW80, the Webley Eclipse (FAC), the HW90 (fitted in place of the original gas ram) and the Air Arms Pro Elite. Titan springs are hand wound from Grade 1 Swedish silicon-chrome vanadium steel, then heat treated and tempered, so they hold their rate and give a smooth, consistent firing cycle in a rifle that has gone soft or twangy with age. Fitting a fresh mainspring is the usual first step when a spring gun has lost power or developed a harsh stroke. Always match the spring to your rifle by the Titan No.2 application before ordering, and bear in mind that changing a mainspring can alter muzzle energy; check the rifle over a chronograph after the work and seek a gunsmith's advice if you are unsure, so the rifle stays within the legal limit.
