The H&N Baracuda Green is a lead-free hunting pellet in .22 calibre (5.5mm), supplied in a tin of 200. In place of lead, H&N forms it from a tin alloy under their GreenLine programme, so there's no lead-fouling in the barrel and no lead handling for the shooter. It's a lightweight domed pellet at 12.96 grains, which leaves the muzzle quickly and holds a flat trajectory out to medium range. H&N rate it for a minimum muzzle energy of 12 ft-lbs and an effective distance of around 30 metres, making it a sensible match for sub-12 air rifles used on small quarry. The domed head drives the energy into the target for solid penetration on rats, squirrels, pigeons and similar pest species, while the lead-free build keeps the work clean. For anyone running a lead-free set-up, or shooting where lead ammunition is being phased out, it gives a hunting-capable round without compromising on accuracy.
