The JSB Predator Polymag Shorts are a two-part hunting pellet designed for shooters who need a reliable, expanding round from a PCP air rifle with a rotary magazine. The shortened length — achieved without compromising the aerodynamic profile — is the defining feature here, allowing the pellets to cycle smoothly through side-lever and bolt-action PCP magazines that standard-length pointed pellets often jam in. The pellet itself combines a hollow point lead body with a hard polymer tip pressed in with tight manufacturing tolerances. On impact, the tip drives into the hollow cavity, initiating controlled expansion for more effective energy transfer. Developed in partnership with JSB's US patent holders, the design has been adopted by pest controllers and small-game hunters across the UK for its consistency out of the tin. Calibre is .22 / 5.5mm, weight is 15.89 grains, and each tin contains 200 pellets.
