The Gehmann 844-S is a quick-release screw set for Gehmann's 844 multi-height sight riser block, the aluminium base used to raise a rearsight or foresight on a target smallbore or air rifle. The standard 844 riser is supplied with pairs of Allen screws to lock it at your chosen height; the 844-S replaces these with tool-free quick-turn screws, so changing the riser's height between sessions or disciplines takes seconds rather than a trip for an Allen key. It fits all three 844 variants — 844-A for Anschütz, 844-F for Feinwerkbau and 844-W for Walther rails — and is made in Germany to the same standard as the rest of Gehmann's target-shooting range. It's a small accessory for owners of an existing 844 riser block, not a sight or riser in its own right.
