The A-Tec H2 is the second generation of the Hertz design that made the Norwegian moderator maker's name — a modular, over-barrel sound moderator for .30 calibre hunting rifles, threaded 14x1 to suit metric muzzles. The reflex layout keeps things compact: 80 mm of the body sits back over the barrel, so it adds only 150 mm to your rifle for a total moderator length of 230 mm. At 410 g with a slim 49.4 mm body diameter it carries well on the hill, and A-TEC quotes sound reduction of 33 dB(C), with notably effective control of first-round pop on a cold barrel — exactly when it matters on a stalk. The modular build lets you remove one or two of the front modules for a shorter, lighter package when handling counts more than maximum suppression. It fits barrels up to 23.7 mm diameter at the muzzle and is designed for hunting rifles only. As with any moderator, you'll need it authorised on your firearm certificate.
