This Parker-Hale TUBED one-piece rifle rod cleans .22 to .243 calibre barrels, marked out by its grey rod and red handle. A hardened and tempered steel core runs the full 44-inch length, wrapped in a tough acetate coating that stops the rod marking or abrading the bore as it's pushed through. The handle spins on ball bearings, so whatever brush, jag or patch is fitted follows the barrel's rifling rather than twisting against it, giving a cleaner, more even pass. Brass fittings at the working end resist wear from repeated use. This rod carries a female American-pattern thread, matching popular US-made cleaning attachments from makers such as Dewey, Hoppe's, Pro-Shot and Tipton, rather than Parker-Hale's own UK-threaded fittings.
