The Mighty Ranger (PLR-650) is Cluson's top-end handheld LED spotlight, built around a computer-designed deep reflector that pulls every bit of output from its 65W LED to throw a stated 6,500 lumens and a 1,500m beam, enough for scanning a long field edge or a hillside after dark. It switches between High, Medium and Low beam, giving roughly 1 hour on high, 1.5 hours on medium or 2.5 hours on low from the Li-ion battery pack that clips onto the base of the pistol-grip handle, with a 5 to 6 hour recharge when it's flat. The trigger switch sits under the grip for one-handed operation while you're carrying a lead, a stick or a rifle, and the lamp can also run straight off a vehicle's 12V socket via the supplied cigar lead when you'd rather not drain the battery. At 774g including the battery it's a substantial light rather than a pocket torch, and an IP65 rating means dust and driving rain won't stop it working. Comes complete with the lamp, rechargeable battery pack, mains charger and 12V cigar plug lead.
