Clulite's Red Eye is the red-LED member of the Bright Eye range, built for lamping fox and rabbit at night without spooking quarry the way a white beam does. Unlike lamps that fit a red filter over a white LED and lose brightness in the process, the Red Eye uses a genuine red CREE LED, so it still puts out a full 250 lumens with a beam reaching up to 300m and an effective spotting range of around 200m. Power comes from a rechargeable 3.7V 3000mAh Li-ion battery, giving around 2 hours of runtime on high beam and up to 10 hours on low, with a full recharge taking 6 hours from the supplied mains charger. The body is black anodised aircraft-grade aluminium, kept light at around 190g and sealed with rubber O-rings to an IP65 rating, so it shrugs off rain and knocks in the field. A simple tactical end-cap switch makes it easy to operate one-handed, and it comes complete with mains charger and wrist strap - a straightforward, durable handheld lamp for anyone controlling foxes or rabbits after dark.
