The Cyclops Hades Horizon is a compact rechargeable torch built to switch between a head torch and a handheld light, thanks to a removable clip that lets it come straight off the headband and clip to a pocket, belt or bag strap. A 5W OSRAM P8 LED gives up to 500 lumens with a beam reaching around 100 metres, running for up to 1.5 hours at full power, while a dual-colour white/red COB source adds a wider-spread 250-lumen white beam out to about 18 metres for up to 3 hours. The red setting, in constant or flashing form, is there for jobs where you need to keep your night vision intact — useful heading to and from a high seat or checking on dogs after dark — and there's also a dedicated strobe on the P8 LED. Power comes from a 700mAh 16340 rechargeable battery, topped up via the supplied magnetic charging cable rather than a removable cell, and the whole unit carries an IPX4 rating so it shrugs off rain and damp fieldwork. Simple single-click switching keeps mode changes quick and one-handed.
