The Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller Collet #9 is a calibre-specific collet for use with the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller tool. Sized to accept bullets of .338 or .358 inch diameter, it covers a wide spread of large-bore rifle cartridges: the .338 Lapua Magnum, .338 Winchester Magnum and .338 Federal on one hand, and the .358 Winchester, .35 Whelen and 9.3x62mm on the other. The collet fits the Cam-Lock Bullet Puller body, which mounts in the ram of any standard reloading press. Rotating the collet a quarter-turn cams it closed around the bullet shank; the press stroke then withdraws the bullet cleanly without damaging the case or projectile. This is particularly useful for large-calibre reloaders who need to disassemble expensive loaded rounds — whether to correct a charge weight, adjust seating depth or recover components from mislabelled cartridges. Collet #9 is sold individually and requires the Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller body (sold separately).
