The Hornady Custom Grade Full-Length Size Die for 300 Winchester Short Magnum (.308) resizes fired brass back to SAAMI minimum dimensions, maintaining consistent headspace and reliable chambering for this short-action magnum cartridge. The 300 WSM pushes .308-diameter bullets to high velocities from a compact action, and fully sized brass is essential for safe and repeatable handloading. Hornady's Elliptical Expander combines neck sizing and re-expansion in a single stroke, producing less friction and case-neck stretch than a conventional ball expander; internal threading holds it securely in place. The Elliptical Expander and headed decap pin are mounted to the Zip Spindle, which locks positively to prevent slippage. Its dual-thread system allows fine incremental adjustment by rotating the spindle, or quick gross movement by zipping the spindle along its length. The precision-machined and polished bore keeps cases running smoothly without sticking. The Sure-Loc lock ring clamps evenly around the die body, holding position under repeated use without contacting the threads, and wrench flats make setting and removal simple. Supplied with Sure-Loc lock ring, Elliptical Expander, headed decap pins, and Zip Spindle. Made in the USA with a no-risk lifetime warranty.
