The Hornady Lock-N-Load® Standard Metering Insert (part no. 050120) is a quick-change powder metering unit designed for use with the Hornady Lock-N-Load® Powder Measure. A simple push of the release button ejects the current insert, letting you swap between loads or calibres in seconds without disturbing your powder hopper setup. Each insert meters between 15 and 100 grains of smokeless powder, covering everything from mid-capacity rifle cartridges up to large magnums. A precision adjustment lock ring lets you dial in your exact charge and secure the setting once you are satisfied, so the measure returns to the same throw every time. Because each insert holds its own calibrated setting, reloaders who work with multiple loads benefit from having a dedicated insert per load rather than re-adjusting a single unit. Note that this insert is not compatible with the Hornady Bench Rest Grade Powder Measure — it is designed for the standard Lock-N-Load® Powder Measure only.
