The Vortex Diamondback® HD 10x42 is the lightest 10x binocular in the range at 21.3oz, built as an all-round stalking and hunting glass rather than a dedicated tripod optic. HD extra-low dispersion glass, fully multi-coated lenses and dielectric-coated, phase-corrected roof prisms give a sharp, contrast-rich image from a magnesium chassis wrapped in rubber armour. Field of view is 330ft at 1000 yards, close focus is 5ft - useful for anything from checking a dog's foot to watching birds close in - and eye relief of 15mm plus a 4.2mm exit pupil suit most users, with an interpupillary range of 55-73mm. Built to the same standard as the rest of the Diamondback HD line, it is argon-purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof, fogproof, shockproof performance, and the exterior lenses carry Vortex's ArmorTek scratch-resistant coating. It is tripod-adaptable via Vortex's optional Pro Binocular Adapter if needed. Supplied with Vortex's GlassPak™ binocular harness, which carries the glass across the chest ready to lift and use rather than dangling on a neck strap, plus a comfort neck strap, tethered objective lens covers, rainguard eyepiece cover and lens cloth.
