The Vortex Razor Red Dot AR-15 Riser Mount is a dedicated mounting plate for fitting the Vortex Razor red dot sight to a flattop AR-15 rifle. This is a mount only – the Razor red dot itself is sold separately and is not included. Machined from 6061 aluminium with a Type III hard-coat anodised finish, the mount raises the Razor 15.3mm (0.6") above the rail and uses an auto-locking quick-release lever, so the sight can be removed and refitted without tools while holding its zero. Used together with the Picatinny clamp supplied with the Razor, it positions the red dot in the lower third of the sight picture, giving a lower one-third co-witness with standard AR-15 iron sights – useful for anyone running a fast-acquisition red dot alongside irons rather than a magnified scope, a set-up commonly seen on AR-platform rifles used for foxing and vermin control. At 3oz (85g) it adds negligible weight to the rifle. A genuine Vortex accessory, machined and finished to the same standard as the rest of the Razor range.
