The Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 with AR-BDC3 reticle is built specifically around the AR-15 platform and its common 5.56mm ballistics, giving fast target transitions from true 1x out to 8x magnification. The illuminated, glass-etched AR-BDC3 reticle centres on a 1 MOA dot surrounded by a 16.625 MOA broken circle that draws the eye in quickly for rapid target acquisition, with bullet-drop-compensating references that keep shooters on target out to 650 yards. Low-profile capped turrets adjust in 1/2 MOA clicks, with 140 MOA of both windage and elevation travel and 44 MOA of travel per rotation on a 30mm tube, while parallax is fixed at 100 yards to keep the scope simple and fast to use. The aircraft-grade aluminium housing carries Vortex's scratch-resistant ArmorTek coating over fully multi-coated lenses, and the whole scope is nitrogen-purged and shockproof for reliable use in the field. A thread-in throw lever speeds up magnification changes between engagements. Supplied with flip caps, a lens cloth and a CR2032 battery, it's a compact, fast-handling optic for close-range and mid-range shooting alike.
