Zip Turtleneck Protection 400 is a heavy-duty flame-resistant mid layer from Woolpower's certified Protection range, built for professional use in cold environments. It's knitted from Ullfrotté Original 400 — a thick terry-loop construction that traps a large volume of air for high thermal insulation — in a blend of 84% merino wool and 14% aramid for extra strength and durability. The long-sleeve turtleneck has a short zip at the neck for ventilation and no lengthwise body seams to rub or chafe, while the back is cut longer to stop gaps opening up when reaching or bending, and the cuffs are knitted in at the wrists. It's certified to EN ISO 11612:2015 (A1, B2, C2) for flame resistance, IEC 61482-2:2018 APC 1 for electric arc protection, and EN 1149-5:2018 for antistatic properties. Protection 400 is designed to be worn as a second layer over Woolpower's thinner Protection LITE base layer, in colder conditions or during lower-intensity work. The garment is pre-shrunk, machine washable at 60°C, and made in Woolpower's own factory in Östersund, Sweden, from mulesing-free merino wool.
