The OTK SAK sound moderator is a compact over-barrel design for .17 and .22 rimfire rifles and air rifles, finished in black. It threads onto the muzzle to slow and cool escaping gases, cutting the sharp report at the source so a shot disturbs less ground game and is kinder on the ears during pest control and close-range stalking work. The body pairs an anodised aluminium outer tube with an internal alloy baffle, keeping it corrosion-resistant, hard-wearing and light enough at around 160g not to upset the balance or point of a rimfire. It fits the common 1/2" x 20 UNF muzzle thread used across most UK rimfires and threaded air rifles, suiting calibres such as .22 LR, .22 WMR and .17 HMR. Worth remembering: a moderator fitted to a rimfire rifle is a firearm-certificate item in the UK and must be listed on your FAC before you order, whereas a moderator for an air rifle below the certificate threshold is not. Check your certificate entries and confirm your muzzle thread before purchase.
