The Hill Dry-Pac Kit is a moisture-removal upgrade for MK2 and MK3 Hill PCP hand pumps, fitting inline so the air is dried before it reaches your rifle or buddy bottle. As you pump, the air is forced through a desiccant medium that strips out the bulk of the water vapour carried in on every stroke, helping to keep moisture out of the high-pressure system where it would otherwise cause internal rust and corrosion over time. Hill rate the kit at removing over 90% of the moisture from the pumping air, so it is a sensible bit of maintenance kit for anyone charging a pre-charged pneumatic by hand, particularly in the damp conditions common to UK stalking and rough shooting. The colour-changing beads run from orange to green as they take up moisture, giving you a clear visual cue when the sachet needs renewing. Made by Hill Pumps of Sheffield (supplied in the UK through John Rothery), the kit comes with all the connectors needed to fit it and one sachet of Dry-Pac medium to get you started. Note that it suits MK2 and MK3 pumps, which have air inlet holes at the bottom; it is not compatible with the earlier MK1 pump, which has a single inlet under the handle.
