The Tom's Targets Centre-Fire Texas Spinning Star is a reactive steel target system built for centrefire rifle shooting, made to order from the company's Midlands workshop. Constructed from 10mm thick Hardox 500 AR500 steel — laser-cut to a nominal hardness of 500 HBW — the star is rated for all centrefire calibres up to and including those below .50. The star arrangement comprises five 150mm paddles mounted on a bearing assembly: each time a paddle is struck it drops off, sending the entire star spinning on its bearings and providing immediate visual feedback of a hit. Standing approximately 2 metres tall, it makes an arresting centrepiece for any private range or shooting day. The target is supplied in a natural steel finish so you can paint it in the colour of your choice. All Tom's Targets products use certified Hardox 500 plate throughout; the 500 Brinell hardness rating is what resists bullet penetration, keeping the steel intact for long-term use.
