The Vortex Defender-ST is a compact, parallax-free red dot sight designed for handguns, shotguns and AR-platform rifles, carrying a 6 MOA dot sized for fast target acquisition — useful on a shotgun for pest control or clays, or on a rifle set up for fast, close-range work. It uses the widely-adopted DeltaPoint Pro mounting footprint, so it fits straight onto slides, receivers and mounts already cut to that pattern, and it comes with a Glock MOS mounting plate. An aspherical lens keeps the sight picture distortion-free with true colours through a large viewing window, and the anodised 7075 aluminium body, reinforced with a ShockShield polymer insert, is built to withstand knocks and everyday field use. Brightness runs across 10 settings with motion activation and a 10-minute auto-shutoff to conserve the top-mounted CR2032 battery, rated for up to 25,000 hours' runtime. Windage and elevation are both user-adjustable, a button lockout stops settings being knocked out of place in transit, and the whole unit is waterproof.
