The Vortex Razor HD 4000 is a compact 7x25 handheld laser rangefinder for hunters and shooters who need a fast, reliable read before the shot. Its primary HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) mode gives the angle-compensated distance to a target on steep hill ground, useful on any stalk where the shot is taken up or down a slope, up to a maximum angle reading of ±89°; a Line of Sight (LOS) mode gives the straight-line range, and a continuous Scan feature keeps updating distance as you sweep across the ground or track a moving animal. Four target modes — Normal, First, Last and Extended Laser Range — cover everything from a beast standing clear to one screened by brush or trees. It ranges reflective targets out to 4,000 yards, trees to 2,500 yards and deer-sized game to 2,200 yards. The HD optical system and XR Plus lens coatings deliver a clear, bright sighting picture, and ArmorTek coatings, a magnesium chassis and full rubber armour make it waterproof and shockproof for a day on the hill. Runs from a single CR2 battery.
