The Vortex Razor Red Dot Low 3/8in Rail Mount is a replacement mounting plate for fitting the Razor red dot sight onto rifles carrying a 3/8in dovetail rail – the narrower dovetail rail fitted as standard to most rimfire rifles and spring/PCP air rifles, distinct from a Picatinny or Weaver rail. It swaps out the Picatinny clamp supplied as standard with the Razor, letting the sight sit low and directly on a specialised 3/8in-width base rather than needing a separate rail adapter fitted first. This is a mount only – the Razor red dot sight is sold separately and is not included. It is a straightforward way to move a Razor red dot onto a .22LR rimfire or an air rifle carrying a traditional dovetail rail rather than a Picatinny/Weaver rail, without buying a second sight. Vortex states this mount is built specifically for the Razor red dot and will not fit the Viper or Venom red dot ranges, so it is worth checking which sight you own before ordering.
