The Vortex Viper HD 10x50 brings together strong low-light performance and a wide field of view, making it a natural all-round choice for stalking, glassing at first and last light, and general hill work where a steady, bright image matters more than outright magnification. HD extra-low dispersion glass and XR Plus fully multi-coated lenses combine with dielectric-coated roof prisms for sharp, colour-accurate viewing right to the edge of the field, while ArmorTek coating guards the exterior lenses against scratches and dirt. The body is argon gas purged and O-ring sealed, so it's fully waterproof and fogproof in the worst of the weather, and the rubber-armoured chassis shrugs off the usual knocks of field use. A true open hinge keeps weight sensible for a 50mm binocular at 28.4oz (805g), and the centre focus wheel with locking right-eye diopter makes fine adjustment quick and repeatable. Twist-up eyecups suit use with or without glasses.
