The Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85 Straight is a high-performance spotting scope built for long-range glassing in the hills or at the range, without the price tag of Vortex's flagship Razor range. Its HD optical system uses select extra-low dispersion glass elements to cut chromatic aberration and deliver sharp, high-resolution images with excellent colour fidelity from edge to edge. XR Plus fully multi-coated lenses and dielectric prism coatings maximise light transmission for a bright, clear view even in low light, while the 20-60x zoom eyepiece on the 85mm objective brings distant detail in close. The straight body directly mounts to Arca-Swiss tripod heads without the need for extra plates, and a snag-free helical focus lets you make coarse and fine adjustments quickly when tracking moving quarry. Built to work hard in the field, the Viper HD is argon-gas purged and O-ring sealed for fully waterproof, fogproof performance, with an ArmorTek coating protecting the lenses from scratches, oil and dirt, and a rugged rubber-armoured body that shrugs off rain, snow and rough handling.
