This Vortex Viper HD Reticle Eyepiece is a replacement/upgrade eyepiece, not a complete spotting scope — it fits onto a Viper HD 20-60x85mm spotting scope (models V502 and V503) to turn it into a precise ranging tool. It carries an MRAD version of the hashmarked reticle, using MRAD-based subtension lines for ranging, holdover and windage corrections, with secondary ranging references for quick estimates — ideal for fast, accurate spotter-to-shooter communication on the hill or at the range. Magnification is fixed at 33.5x, and a diopter ring plus the ability to rotate the reticle lets you dial the eyepiece in to your own eye and level the reticle to the horizon. XR and ArmorTek lens coatings keep the view through the HD optical system clear and protected. Eye relief is 18mm, the eyepiece measures 1.73 inches in length and weighs 5.6oz, and it comes with a lens cover and a microfibre cleaning/carry pouch. Note it is not compatible with the 65mm Viper HD spotting scope models — 85mm bodies only.
