The ATI Magazine Floorplate Conversion Kit converts a Remington 700 short-action rifle from its standard hinged floorplate magazine to a detachable box magazine (DBM) system. Manufactured for Legacy Sports by ATI from glass-reinforced polymer, the drop-in unit replaces the factory floorplate and trigger guard, reusing the existing action screws so it fits in minutes at home or with a gunsmith — no drilling or permanent modification required. It's built for the Remington 700 short action only and accepts ATI's short-action detachable magazines across the popular short-action calibre range: .204, .223, .22-250, 6.5 Creedmoor, .243, .308 Winchester and 7mm-08. Magazines are sold separately in 5- and 10-round capacities, so stalkers and target shooters can carry a spare loaded mag rather than topping up through a floorplate. Full fitting instructions are included, and the recommended screw torque is 50 in-lbs (start around 45 and check fit before going further). Note that some aftermarket stocks with wider action-screw holes than the factory stock may need a thin washer for a secure fit.
