The Bestard Dakar Lite is a robust all-terrain hunting boot built for the roughest going — rocky, overgrown terrain where a lighter boot would soon show wear. Made in Mallorca from 2.2mm Perwanger leather, a water-repellent hide from the well-regarded Tyrolean tannery, the upper is cut with hardly any seams and reinforced with a full 360-degree rubber rand to guard against knocks and abrasion on rock and scrub. A Gore-Tex lining keeps the boot properly waterproof while still breathing over a long day, and the Vibram Foura outsole, paired with an EVA midsole, gives secure grip underfoot on rock. Built on Bestard's wider Europa XW last with a semi-rigid Bestflex 6 midsole for extra support over uneven ground, it still comes in at a respectable 1,470g a pair (UK size 8) — noticeably lighter underfoot than its rugged build might suggest. It's a strong option for stalkers and hillwalkers who spend real time on demanding, rock-strewn ground and want a boot that can take the punishment without adding unnecessary weight to every stride.
